Yes, it was indeed nice to see the old master. Clapton with soul, as an old friend used to say or was it.... everything Clapton wanted to be .....anyway and still singing up a storm. I first saw Buddy Guy in 1985ish in a small shithole in front of a few hundred people and I considered him one of the best. I don't watch Letterman any more, so I wouldn't have caught him. Thanks.

Damn I was thinking of buddy rich, he's non-dead but I used to jam with Peter Erskine's nephew.
